Credit Suisse hires director for corporate derivatives – The Australian Financial Review

Credit Suisse has hired derivatives banker Veronica Kaufman as a director in its Australian investment banking and capital markets team.

The bank told its Australian bankers on Thursday morning it would be “welcoming Veronica home to Australia” after a stint in the UK, where she was most recently an executive director in Morgan Stanley’s global capital markets unit.

Kaufman will be Credit Suisse’s head of corporate derivatives Australia and report to investment banking co-heads Dragi Ristevski and Angelo Scassera.

“This is a new role covering all derivatives trades and opportunities, adding value to existing and potential clients through the provision of complete derivatives solutions across the full spectrum of capital markets activity,” the co-heads told staff on Thursday.

“She will work closely with IBCM product and coverage teams as well as our Private Banking and Equities businesses on this opportunity.”

Kaufman started her investment banking career with Credit Suisse in Melbourne in 2009, before heading to the UK where she worked for Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley.
