A payment method is saved at activation for the renewal after your included year. Nothing is charged today, a reminder is sent before any charge, and cancelling membership never affects your certification, designation, or public verification. Before you activate.

Why is a payment method required if today is $0?

Your included membership year converts to a standard annual membership at $149 after twelve months, and the saved method is used for that renewal. You receive a reminder email 30 days beforehand and can cancel online at any time before the charge. If you cancel, your certification and its public verification continue unchanged.

What happens if I don't activate?

Contact us and we will issue your certificate and public verification directly, without membership. Activation is the fastest route, and the included membership year is only available through it, but certification itself never requires membership.

What happens after the included year if I don't renew?

Your profile comes off the Analyst Registry and the annual badge is no longer issued. Your certificate, your designation, and public credential verification remain valid for life. You can rejoin at the standard rate whenever you choose.

I was certified through the TrendUp L-Program. Does this apply to me?

Yes. Activation is identical for every candidate who passes the CFOA examination, whether you prepared independently, through CFOA Direct, or through the L-Program. The credential and membership are issued by ICFDT in all cases.
